PHOTOGRAPHY
As the lead for the LPGA Creative Group, I managed high-end photo projects, including major campaigns and executive portraits, delivering the high level of production needed to achieve the LPGA’s objectives.
My background and training in photography provided a solid foundation in composition, lighting, and, crucially, the art of interacting with people. This expertise enabled me to execute complex visual concepts, creating compelling images that supported our brand's strategic goals and resonated with our audience.

WOMEN’S NETWORK
TALK BIRDIE TO ME
feature
I transformed a challenging lobby space into a functional studio, capturing vibrant images that significantly boosted media engagement for the LPGA Women’s Network.
To photograph the host of an LPGA Women’s Network series, I needed to capture her energetic nature and fit her seamlessly into the graphical space we developed during the design process.
I strategically selected props and colors to harmonize with the background, ensuring they blended perfectly with the LPGA Women’s Network’s art style. This reflects my design team’s meticulous planning and attention to detail.
The biggest challenge was creating a studio space in the headquarters lobby, where two glass walls streamed sunlight into the area. Leveraging my skills and resourcefulness, I overcame this obstacle and created a series of beautiful, energetic images that worked perfectly for our marketing efforts.
As a result, the newly created photography and marketing collateral significantly increased media engagement for the feature and the broader LPGA Women’s Network during its run.
DRIVE ON
campaign portraits
Here, I captured Mariah Stackhouse’s strength and resilience, significantly boosting media engagement by offering fans an intimate connection with her authentic self.
The DRIVE ON campaign explores women’s lives on the LPGA Tour beyond their roles as players by capturing the essence of their true selves.
I aimed to capture her firm, forceful, and independent nature. Despite wearing one of her favorite colorful outfits, the composition of this shot was designed to highlight her strength and draw focus to her eyes, as Mariah’s severe and contemplative side is portrayed. With her arms crossed and a steady gaze, the shot conveys determination and resilience, core character elements. The darker background and focused lighting draw the viewer directly to her powerful expression.
Images like this encapsulate the essence of the DRIVE ON campaign, offering a window into the players’ worlds. By revealing their authentic selves, these photos have significantly increased media engagement for the campaign, resonating deeply with fans and giving them a more intimate connection with the athletes.
WOMENS’ NETWORK
#INVITE HER
campaign
I captured stunning images for this campaign under challenging conditions, significantly boosting media engagement and enhancing its impact.
This shoot required capturing prop images and hand models using a specific color palette for an LPGA Women’s Network campaign.
During the shoot, I coordinated up to five models lying on the floor beneath me, photographing them from a camera position eight feet above the background’s surface. This setup presented a unique lighting challenge. I had to ensure the models were correctly positioned relative to the lighting while keeping the gear and stylist’s movements out of the frame.
Adding to the complexity, the shoot took place in the headquarters lobby, the only location available on the day of the shoot with the required ceiling height.
The client was ecstatic with the results. The newly created photography and marketing collateral significantly boosted media engagement for the feature, continuing to grow and enhance the overall impact and reach of the LPGA Women’s Network.
SOLHEIM CUP
player portraits
I set up a mobile studio for the Solheim Cup to capture dynamic portraits of all potential team members under tight timelines. Through strategic and efficient asset production, media engagement was significantly boosted, and viewership doubled to 9 million.
The LPGA’s premier event, the biennial Solheim Cup, alternates between the US and Europe, making its US appearance every four years. A significant challenge in producing assets for this event is that the team composition isn’t finalized until just before the event, as each player must earn their spot. This makes time of the essence for gathering and producing assets.
To tackle this, I set up a mobile studio on location to photograph all potential team members. Each player was photographed separately with happy and fierce facial expressions and in three poses: left-facing, centered, and right-facing. These images were banked for use once the final team was announced.
This task usually occurred during an LPGA event, a high-pressure time for the players. Despite the intense atmosphere, I managed to minimize the talent’s time on set, ensuring they were comfortable and at their best.
These images, designed specifically for the event’s marketing campaign, seamlessly integrated into the overall look, significantly boosting viewer interest. This strategic approach led to a doubling of media consumption around the event, from 4 million viewers two years before 9 million for the latest tournament.
This experience showcases my ability to handle portraits with limited time and resources, effectively managing the unique challenges faced in this endeavor.
RACE TO THE CME GLOBE
studio work
An executive walked into my office and asked, “Can you photograph this crystal trophy in the next five minutes?”
At that time, we didn’t have an in-house studio, and unpacking all our photo gear and building a set to capture a difficult subject like crystal in a conference room was out of the question.
So, I set it on my charcoal grey desktop, asked the executive to hold a black piece of foam core as a background, and taped a sheet of translucent paper over the light fixture above my desk. Turning off the rest of the lights in the creative suite, I used my skills and experience in lighting difficult subjects to capture the image you see here, all within the tight time frame.
This photograph showcases my high level of photographic skill and ability to pull off such a challenging shot in record time, a feat photographers familiar with the difficulty of shooting crystal will appreciate.
LPGA EXECUTIVES
portraits
I captured a high-quality executive portrait of Mike Whan, LPGA Commissioner and now USGA CEO, using natural lighting and a softbox, showcasing my ability to deliver professional results efficiently under tight time constraints.
Needing a quick turn, I took him into the lobby for his new executive portrait and utilized the natural lighting from the large windows by the white column. I achieved the desired ambiance by selectively turning the built-in lights on and off. I quickly added a softbox as a key light to complete the composition. Given his limited time, this setup allowed me to efficiently capture the high-quality image he needed, showcasing my ability to handle executive portraits with limited time and resources.
